Hello from Phoenix, Arizona
Hooray for AZ!! We’re well represented this morning!!
Hi from Rapid City, South Dakota
The screen is rather blurry, (can't read the leatters) despite Tim and Yourself being very clear...
mine is also blurry
me too and I thought it was my eyes! :-)
Debbie from Coppell back.
Hi, from Memphis,Tennessee
possibly a bandwidth problem
It's very pixelated
Still pixelated :-(
Might be an internet connection issue
I think it’s bandwidth, too
good suggestion! turn off video camera
Now we just see your name
shared problem solving :-)
This is a good example of how sometimes all you can control is your reaction :)
good point Clint!
Also...some flexibility. If needed, perhaps just keep going and we can deal with a little blur.
Haha exactly Clint!
I can see it!
looks like a bandwidth problem, it’s still blurry
@TimNeedles Switching off the camera in Zoom and all unnecessary tabs on your browser might help
Maybe share the link to the presentation?
Marvyn, perhaps he can share with you and you drive the presentation? It’s still very low-res
Do you mind sharing the slides with us?
Maybe Tim can share the link to his slides and we can view them later.
Great point Peggy, Tim does have some resources we’d be happy to share with the recording of this webinar :)
focusing on mental health and social-emotional well-being is critical during these times!!
We are having a district wide training in a couple of weeks. I think it will be amazing and help teachers so much!

Take a mini vacation by reading a book & closing off the world
not exactly sure what it means “incorporating mindfulness”. Is it being aware of our own social emotional feelings?
Sure! Could be yoga, breathing exercises, etc.
Mindfulness is being present
Mindfullness also means being in the moment
And listening to your body
sometimes it’s easier to know what to do than it is to do it :-)
Yes, Peggy! Taking time to listen to your mind, body, and soul/spirit!
Mindfulness demands that we are present in the moment. Not easy, but worthwhile.
Turning it into a lifestyle is the sustainable way :)
My kitchen table has been long gone!! Always using it for something else!! Right now it’s a puzzle table. :-)
It is so important to have me time everyday.
You can take some art classes - it will force you to make the time for yourself
Persistence is key!
I sew everyday.
great point Basia! Anytime we schedule something it will happen.
Oh, goodness...that's my issue. Gotta let go of perfect.
I’m trying to doodle which is helping me overcome my negative ideas about myself being an artist
It is not the force of the water that carved the Grand Canyons… it was persistence. 🤟
love that idea Ilene!
Sleep needs to be up with these!
Too much sitting indoors at the computer
These are ancient practices that affect our nervous system.
I was fascinated to learn all the different types of breathing - pranayama, different counts, alternating nostrils, holding patterns, etc.
Calm is free for educators?
Kids really seem to like the metta meditation structure
I’ve been very happy with https://www.wakingup.com/. Lots of daily sessions and threads of conversations. Strong section on meditation for kids as well.
@Janet- I believe there is a free trial, and a premium version you can pay for

1 second everyday: https://1se.co/
I love that app!! 1 second every day!!! My granddaughter uses it to capture daily life with her toddler and she started it the day she was born!
I saw a Ted Talk years ago about this project.
Our WHY is so important!
Do you think students are more open to sharing personal feelings in a virtual setting (like Zooom) than they are f2f in a class?
Barbara Bray’s book “Define Your Why” is fantastic and she has done several presentations on it!
It will be great to get these slides so we can click on the links :-)
We’ll share these resources along with the recording of today’s webinar :)
I tell my students the same thing. Nice
being in the moment! great way to think of it! thanks!
Is there a code for Calm for teachers?
That’s a bonus for virtual class :-)
Will we get a copy of the presentation?
Is there a recording of your presentation Mervyn? Being Human…
