That is what we found in the Apple coaching cohort. Many people did not have any official training.
Melinda Bailey
58:18
Feedback is so important!
Sean Arnold
58:40
Yes, Rita! Sometimes taking a “good teacher" and making them a coach or administrator doesn't automatically mean they will be good in that role - especially if they don't have specific training for it.
Margret Atkinson | She/Her
58:44
That goes back to relationships, I think
Margret Atkinson | She/Her
58:47
AH, yes!
Ericka Kirkland
58:53
SCRUM and Agile approach puts more value on people, the user rather than technology. that starts with active listening

01:00:05
@Jacobus - In our district the science curriculum liaison and ed tech coachh are separate positions but we have a lot of overlap between our offices. For our dept, edtech, the content we are trying to share is focused towards the collaboration and soft skills that are useful generally, regardless of whether or not they end up in STEM. We want students to have transferrable skills that apply to in-person and technology contexts.
Brandi Bergeron

01:02:12
As a coach I can really reflect on how I should have built a stronger community with the teachers on my hall! I cannot imagine all we could have done if we met weekly to share each other’s ideas. I love bouncing ideas off others, but I didn't want to “push" my ideas on other professionals. Hindsight is definitely 20/20.
Greta Sandler
01:02:20
Agreed! I'm also working on my ISTE Cert portfolio. Such a meaningful experience for me.
